FPO Promotions Program

The FPO Promotions Program by Kamdars Care is designed to empower small and marginal farmers through the formation, strengthening, and long-term sustainability of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). Recognizing the power of collective action, Kamdars Care works closely with farming communities to build professionally managed, economically viable, and socially inclusive FPOs.

The program enables farmers to aggregate their produce, access quality inputs, adopt improved agricultural practices, and directly connect with competitive markets. Emphasis is placed on value addition, post-harvest infrastructure, and reducing dependency on intermediaries to increase farmer profitability.

Kamdars Care supports FPOs through:
Capacity building and governance training
Initial operational cost support
Equity grants and financial facilitation
Market linkage and branding support

Acting as a Cluster-Based Business Organization (CBBO), Kamdars Care mentors FPOs through all stages—from mobilization and registration to business planning and market integration.

Each FPO, comprising 300–1,000 farmers, is guided toward self-sufficiency within 5–7 years. The program prioritizes women-led, youth-led, and tribal FPOs, ensuring inclusive rural development.

Aligned with national objectives such as doubling farmers’ incomes and building resilient agri-value chains, Kamdars Care’s FPO initiative promotes rural entrepreneurship, sustainable agriculture, and social equity.
