The Seed Promotion Program by Kamdars Care, in collaboration with reputed public and private seed agencies, aims to ensure the timely availability and adoption of high-quality seeds among smallholder farmers. By linking farmers with reliable seed sources, the program promotes improved crop productivity, varietal diversity, and sustainable farming systems.

Kamdars Care partners with agencies such as ICAR institutes, State Seed Corporations, National Seeds Corporation (NSC), private seed companies, and agri-research bodies to bring certified and climate-resilient seed varieties to the grassroots level.

Seed Production by FPOs: Kamdars Care supports FPOs in producing and marketing certified seeds under technical guidance from partner agencies.
Community Seed Banks: Local seed banks are established and maintained to ensure last-mile access to quality seeds during critical sowing periods.
Capacity Building: Training programs in seed production, storage, and treatment practices are conducted with support from seed experts and scientists.
Market and Institutional Linkages: Kamdars Care facilitates the branding and sale of farmer-produced seeds through partnerships with agri-input dealers and government procurement programs.

The world-class infrastructure supports 3 main research stations, 4 sub-stations, 6 dynamic research stations, and several multi-location trial centers covering all agro-climatic zones in India.
The use of BT cotton drastically reduced the amounts of chemical pesticides used on cotton. Our “X-Gene” Bt cotton technology is now commercially approved in Sudan, Ethiopia, and Swaziland.
